WELCOME TO THE WORD BEAUTIFUL LAYLA!
This gorgeous little lady came into my Kallangur studio for her newborn photography session at just 13 days new. What an absolute beauty she is! I’ve found that between 7 and 14 days old is the perfect time to come in for a newborn session. Babies are generally still very sleepy, flexible, easier to settle and happy to be moved and posed at this age.
Lyla’s session was styled with neutrals and creams and just a hint of dusty pink and purple which I think accented her beautiful skin tone perfectly. These colours are popular choice for sessions at the moment.
Layla arrived a little alert and curious about what was happening in the studio. I do have some tricks up my sleeve to help settle a baby including white noise, shushing and off course swaddling or wrapping bub snuggly. For this session I decided to start with baby Layla wrapped which she loved and quickly drifted off to sleep. This allowed us to get a number of photographs on the posing bean bag followed by one of my favourite props, the wrought iron bed.
As you can see I have a number of teddy bears, headbands and bonnets on hand in the studio to assist with styling your session. In fact I probably have to many to choose from! When you arrive for your session your welcome to browse the fabrics and props available and choose items you might like included in your images. Also, if you have something sentimental, please feel free to bring it with you to the session!

When should I book?
The earlier the better! I only take on a limited number of sessions each month to ensure my availability, so I highly recommend booking once you have your due date. Although I am sometimes able to offer a last minute session, I can’t guarantee I will always have something available during busy periods.
Where are you located?
My purpose built studio is located at Kallangur in north Brisbane. I’m easily accessible from the North Lakes exit of the Bruce Highway and just minutes from Ikea, Costco and Westfield North Lakes.
